V-Ray Materials (Step3)
In this video I’ll show you particular settings related to this materials:
Glass, Coloured glass, Weft curtain and Translucency plastic.
VIDEO-CONCEPTS
- Use fog Color to create a coloured refractions
- Use Fog multiplier to control the color intensity
- Use Max Depht to control the amount of details retrive throght the glass
- Use trabslucency box for flat translucency effects
- Use a map into aside of hte translucency box to control the effect
- Use VRay2Sided material for single-sided translucent objects
- Use VRayFastSSS2 material for thiker objects
- With Raytraced Solid instead of Simple youcan get more accurate SSS simulation
- With “diffuse amount” balance the diffuse and scatter colors
You can also use VRay2Sided Mtl for the white petals, since they are single-sided ojects.
The result is not extremely different from a regular VRayMtl, but it’s a soft detail. Those nuances can make the difference in great renders:
